Green Lee Alley, Jr.

Green “Lee” Alley, Jr, age 89, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 01, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Rainbow Memorial Gardens, Rev. Keith Wrenn will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lee served in three branches of the military; Navy, Army, and the Air Force. He was the founder and the owner of Alley’s Carpet and Flooring for over 50+ years. He was an avid racehorse fan and attended many Kentucky Derby’s. He loved sports and was a Georgia Bulldog fan. Lee was preceded in death by his son, Jody Holland; parents Green Lee Alley, Sr. and Effie Hurley Alley; Siblings, Phil, Vivian, Harold, Eva, Bob, David and Jennie.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Carla Holland Alley; son, Greg (Gina) Holland; grandsons, Taylor (Katie) Holland and Corbin (Katie G.) Holland; great grandchildren, Ansley, Bryson, Beckham, Alley, Elizabeth and Maurie Jane; Sisters-in-law, Betty Davis and Patsy Owens; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Greg Holland, Taylor Holland, Corbin Holland, Tommy Pitts, Bradley Robinson and Don Morris.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Johnston, Larry Wester and David Ayers.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the American Heart Association. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Noland Hospital Anniston 4th Floor doctors and staff.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday, June 01, 2024.
