Rev. Harold Leon Daugherty

Reverend Harold Leon Daugherty, age 84, of Attalla, AL, left this world on Sunday, May 8, 2022, and entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior, who he so faithfully served for over 50 years. A home going service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at New Life Church of God. Bro. George Lankford, Bro. Bobby Morgan, and Bro. Cates Noles will officiate. Burial will follow at Bristow Cemetery in the Duck Springs community. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. Brother Daugherty started and built 33 churches in Alabama, ministered in 28 different nations, and traveled to minister in Uganda, Africa 43 times. Harold loved his family with all his heart and loved nothing more than to share his love for the Lord with them. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and Church. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Daugherty; son, Harold Eugene Daugherty; mother, Ollie Pruitt Milliam; father, Amos Daugherty; siblings, Lewis Milliam, Paul Daugherty, Bobbie Gladden, and Jackie Bone He is survived by his sons, Neal Daugherty and Matthew Daugherty; daughters, Deana Daugherty, and Amy (Phil) Roberts; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Kathy (Rick) Sanders. Pallbearers will be Dusty Dillard, Ryan Daugherty, Colton Daugherty, David Stephens, Shane Shipman, Trey Reid, Thurston Townsend, and Ralph Lowery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Crabtree, Eric Powell, Dale Blackburn, JB Killingsworth, and Rick Sanders. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the Church of God World Missions – Project number 650444. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the Church of God, Uganda, Africa, Emmanuel Kasisi, and Fred Raymond Kisekka. Brother Daugherty will lie in state from noon until the hour of the service at the church on Thursday.
