Funeral service for Mr. Hubert Kitchens, 83, of Gadsden, will be at 2 p.m. today at Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Attalla. The Rev. Rodger Beeshears will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing. Mr. Kitchens died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Kitchens is survived by his wife, Joyce Kitchens, of Gadsden; daughters, Marie (Don) Otinger of Albertville, Linda (Bobby) Reynolds, Mary (John) Butler of Altoona, and Jana (Ray) Brown of Summerville, Ga.; sons, Jason Kitchens of Ashville, and Tim Schoenfeld of Gadsden; sisters, Dorothy Norwood and Nettie Hooks of Gadsden; brothers, Robert (Louise) Kitchens of Ashville, and Carl (Gloria) Kitchens of Cullman; and several grandsons and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joey Hooks, David Harden and Don Otinger.
The family will receive friends today from noon until the funeral hour.
