
Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. James Ted Calhoun, 91, Rainbow City, AL who passed away Monday, August 27, 2012. Pastor Randy Gunter will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.
Mr. Calhoun was a native and longtime resident of Etowah County. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Mr. Calhoun retired as a supervisor from the Etowah County Health Department. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II and was a charter member of the Rainbow City Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruth Calhoun, wife, Wallace M. Calhoun, son, John D. Calhoun, sister, Martha Ruth Peacock and brother, Woodrow Calhoun.
He is survived by his daughter, Amelda C. Skinner

Great Grandchildren, Alexis, Nathan, Aidan, Noelle, Avery, Raegan, Chayse and Graysen
Sister, Margaret Vandergrif

Honorary Pallbearers will be deacons of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and members of the Rainbow City Lions Club.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 2525 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Southern Care Hospice, Dr. Suraj Sancheti and Dr. Russell Whitaker.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
