

Janet Carol Tucker, of Gadsden, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the age of 84. She was born on December 6, 1941 in Tuscaloosa County to the late Thomas James Clowdus and Elsie Joe Clowdus.
She was a graduate of Glencoe High School and Holy Name of Jesus Hospital School of Nursing. She was a dedicated nurse for many years and served as the Director of Nursing at McGuffey Nursing Home until her retirement.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Henry (Claudia) Tucker of Birmingham, Lloyd Thomas (Serra) Tucker of Southside, and Ronald Allen (Dawn) Tucker of Southside, her grandchildren, Bryant (Tatom) Tucker of Birmingham, Serrah Grace Tucker of Rainbow City, Jaxon Tucker, Mason Tucker, Beth Ann Tucker, and Caroline Tucker all of Southside, one great-grandson, Sylas Weddington of Rainbow City, her brother, Wayne Clowdus of Plano, TX, and her sister, Connie (David) Stone of Carrollton, GA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 12:30 to 1:30 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden with a Celebration of Life following at 1:30pm. Bro. L. Dale Butler will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Donald Tucker, Thomas Tucker, Ronald Tucker, Bryant Tucker, Jaxon Tucker, and Mason Tucker.
A private interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Southside.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and residents of Paden Ridge Assisted Living Home and Gentiva Hospice for their care, love, and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
