Funeral for Mrs. Janice Ramsey Samples, 81, of Attalla, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Rev. Gary Webb and Bro. Larry Perkins will officiate, with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Attalla. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.Janice was a member of Siberton Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Samples; son, Jeffery Scott Samples; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Charles Ramsey; and brother, Jack Ramsey.Janice is survived by her children, Debra Ware, Lisa Dillard, Mike Samples and Tim Samples; sons-in-law, Joel Dillard and Stephen Houk; grandchildren, Jamie Money, Kennedy Samples, Darby Samples and Buck Dillard; three great-grandchildren; brother, Tony Ramsey (Wilda) and Jimmy Ramsey (Debra); sister-in-law, Joanna Ramsey; brother-in-law, Travis Samples; several nieces and nephews; chosen daughter, Nancy Knight; and best friend and companion, Lilly Bell.Pallbearers will be deacons and friends of Siberton Baptist Church.Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Riverview Regional Medical Center, Third Floor.The family will receive friends at Collier-Butler from 1:30 p.m. until time of the services on Sunday.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.collier-butler.com.
