

A visitation will be held on January 27, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, located at 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Rev. Charles Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden.
Jean was a former member of Bellevue Methodist Church in Gadsden, and later Christ Episcopal Church in Monticello, Florida. Jean worked at Gadsden Army Air Depot during World War II. She later became the secretary at R.A. Mitchell Elementary School. She loved to bowl in Mixed Doubles at Noccalula Lanes, camping, and traveling. In her later years Jean enjoyed listening to audio books due to her macular degeneration.
Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Vardaman Stocks; father, Daniel M. Hayden; husband, Robert Charles Beaird; and husband, John Trimble.
She is survived by her son, Rex (Susan) Beaird; stepsons, Spencer and Michael Trimble; granddaughters, Laura (Justin) Skinner, Jamie (Phillip) Lewis, and Emily (Adam) Carroll; step grandchildren, Luke and Lacey Skinner; great grandchildren, Easton Carroll, Maddox Carroll, and Piper Carroll; cousins, Enith and Bob Vardaman; and special niece, Betty Stough.
Pallbearers will be Justin Skinner, Phillip Lewis, Adam Carroll, Larry Beaird, Jason Beaird, and Terry Clayton.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Cherokee County Health and Rehab, and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
