Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Jimmie Earnest Sanders, 78, of Gadsden, who passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Rev. Rodney Gilmore will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Sanders was born in Milton, Florida on July 25, 1935. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest F. and Thelma Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Sanders; son, Jimmy Allen Sanders; daughters, Sherry Sanders Reynolds, and Tammy Janette Radford; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Blanche Moye, of Florida; sister-in-law, Nellie Roberts, of Gadsden; and 20 nieces and nephews.
