John Edward "John Ed" Williams, age 70, passed away on November 11, 2025, in Gadsden, Alabama. Born on November 11, 1955, in the same city he called home throughout his life, John Ed’s journey came full circle as he departed this world surrounded by the community and family he cherished.
John Ed was a devoted attendee of New Life Baptist Church since 2013. His presence there was a reflection of his deep-rooted faith and enduring commitment to fellowship. Those who knew him often spoke of his boundless kindness and the warmth he extended to everyone he met. He was known to love everyone and had what many described as the biggest heart in the world—a legacy of compassion that will live on in the lives he touched.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Dianne Williams; his children, Edward Davis and Krystal Robertson; and a special nephew, James Williams. He also leaves behind his siblings, Terry Williams and Debbie Gibbs; and his sister-in-law, Deborah Gables.
