Joyce Nell Neal

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Joyce Neal, 80, of Gadsden, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013. The Rev. Blake Jones will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Neal was a member of Rainbow Church of Christ and active in her ladies Bible class. She loved to sew, fish and play with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellouise and Price Varnon; and brother, Jerry Varnon.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arlie Neal; daughters, Theresa (Jimmy) Harris and Sherry (Alan) Arrington; son, David (Andrea) Neal; grandchildren, Noelle Fowler, Brooke Arrington, Jack (Grace) Harris, Zach (Heather) Harris, Micah (Danielle) Harris, Bradley Neal, Aubree Neal, Justin Wallace and Lexi Wallace; great-grandchildren, Chase Fowler, Mallory Fowler and Braelin Harris.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Neal, Jake Harris, Zach Harris, Micah Harris, Chris Moon and Tyler Antonakos.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Wyatt, Larry Naler, Mike Varnon and Keith Varnon.

Special thanks to Dr. Virenjan Narayan, Dr. Thomas Harper, Dr. Mazen Hakim, New Beacon Hospice, Susan Wilkes and Alba Luz Archer.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
