Funeral Service will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Collier- Butler Chapel for Joyce Snead Ritch, 99, Southside, who passed away Friday, June 17, 2016. Rev. Lynn Hughston and Rev. Richard K. Murray will officiate. Entombment will be at Cherokee Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service will direct.
Mrs. Ritch was the daughter of the late Frances Tucker Snead and Thomas Mitchell Snead. She was a resident of Southside since 1973 and of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Elbert V. Ritch; daughter, Jean Murray; son-in-law, Craig Murray, Infant grandchildren, Timothy Lane and Traci Leigh Gossett; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Mrs. Ritch is survived by her daughter, Ann Gossett and husband Kenny, Centre, AL; grandsons, Robert Craig and Richard K. Murray and Mike and Mark Gossett; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 3 sisters and 1 brother, several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Philip Abney, Levi Welsh and great grandsons.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Ritch’s caregivers.
Visitation will be Monday from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
