Julia “Judy” Hampton Campmire, age 79, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Judy was a graduate of Gadsden High School. She loved to play games with her grandchildren, cooking, and sewing. She always carried around her 50 LB purse. She will truly be missed by her family, who meant everything to her.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Ophelia Hampton; husband, Lamar Campmire; and son, Michael Campmire.
She is survived by her daughters, Julia (Randy) Smith, Darlene Whitlock, and Karen Love; grandchildren, Justin Whitlock, Brandon Whitlock, Tagan Love, Tristan Love, Michael Fletcher, Julie (Kevin) Kimberly, and Noah (Anne) Smith.
Pallbearers will be family and close friends.
The family will accept friends from 1:00PM until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
