Kathy was born in the German state of Bavaria. When she was 10, her family moved to Louisiana. For many years of her adulthood, Kathy lived in the suburbs of Atlanta, where she worked as a payroll clerk at the Sears, Roebuck and Company regional headquarters. She lived out her retirement in Centre, AL.
Kathy had a lively, outgoing personality. She loved to play games, do crafts, and garden.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Slusher (David); son, Keith Lawson (Chelsey); and one grandchild, Luke Slusher.
Her ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony in accordance with her wishes.
