Kathryn V. Pitts

Kathryn V. Pitts, age 91, of Gadsden, AL died on October 27, 2013. She was born on May 7, 1922 in Bowden, GA to Ethel Barr Holloway and Hershal Baughn Holloway, Sr. She was married 62 years to Howard Lee (Buddy) Pitts until his death. They had two children, Kathryn June and Keith Pitts, who preceded her in death.

Survivors are daughter, June (Don) Wood; daughter-in-law, Judy Pitts; grandsons, Alan (Cindy) Wood and David (Jennifer) Pitts; great-grandson Michael Pitts; step-granddaughters, Tracy (Jonathan) Howard, Teresa (Dr. William) McDowell; brothers, H.B. Holloway, Jr., William B. (Lee) Holloway, Baughn W. (Linda) Holloway, Sr.; niece, Sandra Armstrong; nephews, Michael (Suzy) Holloway, Clifford (Madeline) Pitts.

Pallbearers will be Charles Tolleson, Wayne Killian, Mike Griffith, Randy Parrish, Ray McCarver, Bert Hill, Larry Nunally and Terry Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel. Allan Hudson will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Thursday prior to the service. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
