

Kenneth was born on December 20, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The summer after graduating from West Jefferson High in Gretna, Louisiana, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1957 and served in Germany. On returning to the states, he attended the University of Minnesota, earning a BA in electrical engineering. His engineering career spanned well over 50 years, starting with the early space shots of the mid 60s, shipbuilding, defense contracts, and upgrading plants into the 20th century, to name a few of the projects he worked on.
A disabled veteran and life member of the VFW, with his home post being in Metairie, LA. After Hurricane Katrina, he and his wife moved to Gadsden, AL, making it their home. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Gadsden, AL, and was a 4th degree Knight in the K of C.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda, with whom he danced through life with; whether it be disco, square or ballroom dancing, he danced them all. He was a great cook and loved to entertain, hosting many Halloween parties in the gardens he created in the backyard. He wrote several books about growing up during WWII, including the memories and recipes of the time.
Kenneth was always willing to give a helping hand when and wherever he could. Friends will tell you he always had a smile on his face and an interesting story to go along with it to share.
Kenneth passed away July 9th 2020, in Baton Rouge, LA, where he was working at the time.
A memorial service will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Gadsden, AL, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 29th, 2020.
