Laura graduated from Gaston High School in 1984. She attended Jacksonville State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 1989. While in college she was a tutor in both language and literature, a role she enjoyed greatly.
After college, she worked as technical support at both Boeing Corporation and Morefar Marketing. She enjoyed collecting antiques such as jewelry, artwork and furniture. She also took great pride in raising her two children, Sean and Eva.
Laura is preceded in death by her father Garry Robert Perry, and her mother Betty Sue Perry. She is survived by her sister Victoria Hanlon and her two children Sean Aiden Fulmer and Eva Grace Fulmer.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please donate to “Cancer Research Institute” or “American Cancer Society.”
A visitation for Laura will be held on August 24th, 2025 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 1:30pm until 2pm, with a memorial service to follow. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate.
Interment was at Crestwood Cemetery.
