

The family will receive friends Monday from 2 until 4 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. The service will be held directly after visitation at 4 p.m. Bill Drummons and Lauil Thompson will officiate.
Linda will be laid to rest at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. There will not be a graveside service.
Linda Thomas Duke Eads was born March 22, 1949, in Etowah County to Nettie Pauline Chestnut Vinson and the late Noah Lawrence Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rodger Dale Duke and Joe Chestnut Eads; sister, Sherry Musgrove; and father, Noah Lawrence Thomas.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her two devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Cyndi Duke, Cartersville, Ga.; Craig and Gina Duke, Las Vegas; and very special granddaughter, Savannah Duke, Cartersville, Ga.
Linda is survived by her two loving mothers, Pauline Vinson and Polly Allen, both of Gadsden; sister, Barbara Musgrove, Mobile; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Helen and Benny Hester, Gadsden; a very special brother-in-law, Charles Eads, Hokes Bluff; and a host of precious nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
She was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church, a die-hard Auburn Tigers fan and loved to cook. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Following the service, please join the family for fellowship and memories at Southside Baptist Church, 3975 Alabama Highway 77, Southside, AL 35907.
Pallbearers will be Tim Weeks, Jason McArthur, James Oglesby, Danny Barbee, Chantley Vinson, Scott Thompson, Steven Rodocker and Doug Jenkins.
Honorary pallbearers include Jimmie "Uncle Bud" Jones, Benny Hester, Charles Eads, Mike Eads, Clifford Eads and Warren Fuhrman.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at UAB, especially the eighth-floor Neuro, NICU and Palliative Care Unit. Also a very special thank you to Dr. Mona Roach-Davis for all you have done. We would also like to thank everyone for the numerous cards and prayers we have received.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to the Palliative Care Unit at UAB in the name of Linda Thomas Duke Eads.
