Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Forrest Cemetery for Lottie McGriff Wilkerson, 93, of Gadsden. Dr. Richard Trader will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Wilkerson was a native of Cullman County and a longtime resident of Gadsden. She was a member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church. She also was an avid bowler and enjoyed many tournaments.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Milford Hicks Wilkerson and infant daughter, Joyce Kimberly Wilkerson.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Larry McGriff, Donald McGriff, Barbara Woods, Virginia Booth, Dorothy Sheffield, Glenda Cranford and numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to Snellgrove Civitan Center.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Bowman, Daniel Bowman, Don McGriff, Tommy Russell, Max Hardin and Sherman Cranford.
Special thanks to the staff of Gadsden Health Care Center and to the staff at Lawley Hospice.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 12:30- 1:30 at the funeral home.
