

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Margaret S. Black, 87, Gadsden who passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012. Rev. Earl Mitchell and Rev. Ben Edmondson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery with no graveside services. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mrs. Black was a native and resident of Attalla. She was a member of First Baptist Church Attalla and had retired from Riverview Regional Medical Center. Those preceding her in death was her husband, Billy W. Black, parents, Bert and Bell Smith, sisters, Jessie Mae Strawn, Pearl Harris, brother, N.B. Smith, niece, Dean Noojin and brother-in-law, Kenny Black.
Mrs. Black is survived by nieces, Joyce (Ron) Anderson, Cynthia Smith, Carol (Johnny) Blevins, Jenny (Geoff) Foltin, Jackie (Chad) Brooks, Julia Black, Jill (James) Nagy, nephews, Lester (Sandra) Harris, Nathan (Nancy) Smith, Richard (Angie) Smith and Bill Noojin and sister-in-law, Jan Black. Numerous great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be, Clark Lewis, Bob Cross, Excell Hester, Danny Golden, Bob Lankford, Charles Shaw and Lucas Baker.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Attalla.
Special thanks is extended to the staff at Gadsden Health Care, Drs. Ralph Wesley and H.B. Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
