Mrs. Margaret Doegg Peters, 92, of Gadsden passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Wynn will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mrs. Holderfield was of the Baptist Faith and a member of VFW Post 8600 Women’s Auxiliary. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 37 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Troy O. Peters and Robert Holderfield; sons, Dennis Peters and Infant Mark David Peters; son-in-law, Tim Sprayberry Peters; grandson, Hunter Keith Sprayberry; sisters, Dorothy Nell Pledger; JoAnn Wynn; Rose Mary Ashley; Myrl Dean McCord and brothers, Earnest, Wendell and Bob Doegg.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Peters and Glenn (Cindy) Peters
grandchildren, Heather Peters; Emma and William Sprayberry; Cathy and David Stovall, step daughters, Judy Moyer and Signa Adcock ; sisters, Billie Ruth Kitchens, Betty Rae Henderson and brothers, Wayne and Jimmy Doegg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Roger Doegg; Jordan Bailey; Stuart Bailey; Jamie Kitchens; Zachary Tamey; Ken Woodall; and Steven McCary.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Deborah Reiland and Dorene, the nurses and staff of Pro Health Home Health and Hospice.
Visitation will be at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 6-8 p.m.
