Martha K. Bryant

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Martha Bryant, age 89, of Gadsden, who died Saturday, March 12, 2011. Bishop Mark Leonhardt and Bishop E.J. Reynolds will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. Bryant was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was loved by all her friends and neighbors. She was a member of Cathedral of Praise Church. She traveled many places with her dear husband who worked for the government. She and her husband helped a missionary couple establish a church in Barle Duc, France while they were stationed there.

Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years; mother, Ida Staton; father, James Staton; and her sisters and brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Jimmie Nell Jediny; son-in-law, John Jediny; grandson, Dr. David Russomanno; daughter-in-law, Theresa Russomanno; and grandson, Evan Russomanno.

Pallbearers will be friends of Mrs. Bryant.

The family would like to express a special thanks to all the doctors and 6th floor staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center who helped during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cathedral of Praise Church.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Collier-Butler from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
