Martha Elizabeth Roberson

Funeral services for Martha “Bo” Roberson, 85, of Gadsden, who died Monday, May 14, 2012, will be graveside,Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Roberson was a lifelong resident of Etowah County and a graduate of Emma Samson High School. She was employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 35 years. She was a longtime resident of the Holy Comforter the last 27 years and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Gena Roberson, her brother Luther Roberson Jr. , and her sister Imogene Tate.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Bill Tate, nephews; Richard (Diane) Roberson, Allen Tate and Brian Tate, Niece; Sue Tate, Great-nieces; Mandy (Jeff) Yates, Maggie (Jason) Walker, Rebekah (Perry) Walker, great-nephews; Chad Haley and Jason Haley, and many other great-great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Special thanks to Dr. Thomas Harper and the staff at Gadsden Health and Rehab Center, the 7th floor staff at Gadsden Regional and the Riverview Regional ER staff.

Plants will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
