Mary Edna Garren

Chapel Funeral service for Mary Edna Morris Garren, 91, Southside, will be 2 PM Friday. Bro. Bill Drummons and Bro. Lauil Thompson will officiate with burial to follow at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. Garren was born in Calhoun County and lived most of her life in Gadsden and Southside. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hurshel O. Garren; parents, Henry and Beulah Morris; in-laws, Arthur and Zena Garren; 4 brothers; 1 sister; 1 grandson; and several nieces, nephews, and son-in-law, Bobby Matthews.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda (Carl) Jenkins and Sherry Matthews; granddaughter, Pamela Jenkins (fiance, Kenny Lauyans); 3 grandsons, David (Kelli) Jenkins, Roy and Phllip Adcox; 1 sister, Lorene Ligon of Weaver; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, Ashleigh and Hannah Jenkins.

Pallbearers will be Roy Adcox, Philip Adcox, David Jenkins, Kenny Lauyans, Philip Morris, and Bobby Morris.

Special friends include, Dovie McClendon, Bernice Ellis, Una Mae Sewell, Mable Roberts, Ernestine Vinson, Louise McMeekin, Red and Diane Herring, and Katherine Patterson.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 until 2 PM.
