
Maud McCall Davis lived a rich, full, and glorious life for 94 years. She loved her God and its church family, her family and friends, and dedicated her life to them all. Maud was preceded by husband of 54 years James Jerome, sister Juliet, brother Wyman, and mother and father Ethyl and Morgan McCall.
Maud was a graduate of Auburn University and The University of the South School of Theology. She taught nursing at the Holy Name of Jesus Hospital along with the “Sisters”. When Gadsden State Junior College started its nursing and RTI program she became the Program Co-Coordinator. During her later years she came in contact with many students and felt blessed to have been part of their lives and shared many a great conversations with them about their time at the Junior College. Maud also enjoyed helping with the alter guild at The Episcopal Church of The Holy Comforter in Gadsden. Her final wishes include rather than flowers gifts be made to the Alter Guild Fund at the church.
Survivors include son Jerome (Jerry) and daughter in law Pamela, nieces Janet Davis, Marion (Pinky) McCall Bass, and nephew Lucious (Jake) Dyal. A memorial with be held at the Holy Comforter at 2 PM August 1st with a Celebration of Life in the great hall next door to follow. Internment with be August 2nd at 10 am at Forrest Cemetery.
