Mildred S Gulledge

Graveside Services will be today at 2:00 p.m. at Crestwood Cemetery for Mrs. Mildred Spain Gulledge, age 96 of Glencoe who passed away Saturday-July 16, 2011. Rev. David Denson will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. Gulledge was a native of Gainesville, GA and a longtime resident of Etowah County. She was a Christian and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was an independent sales representative for Stanley Home Products. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Gulledge and mother, Blanche Ashley.

After her husband passed away her chosen grandchildren, Beth and Teri, became the joy of her life. Every day loving them unconditionally, as they did her.

She is survived by her family; Wilma Weathington, Melba (Jerry) Madderra, Joanna and Jeanne Nelson, Beverly (Ronald) Hayes, Steve Nelson, Roberta Husband, Jim Weeks, Don (Faith) Weathington, God daughter; Jayne Roberts Lambert and a host of cousins.

Also, left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her chosen grandchildren; Beth (Ryan) Hayes Alexander, Teri (Todd) Smith and their children; Tori and Hayden Smith and Campbell and Spencer Alexander.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tina Farris, Jan Hooks, Rebecca Taylor and the Nurses and Staff at Gadsden Health and Rehab Center.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
