Miriam Grace Wiley Whorton went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2016 at the age of 94. Mrs. Whorton was a long time resident of Hokes Bluff, Alabama where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Hokes Bluff. In addition to her loving husband, Ralph Whorton, Mrs. Whorton was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Grace Thomas Wiley; brothers, Bob, Lee, and EJ Wiley and sister, Sarah Frances Wilson. She is survived by her daughters, Irene (Alvin) Clemens and Nancy (Mark) Cardwell, her son George (Ann) Whorton; grandchildren, Beth, Daniel, Alex, Caroline, and Olivia; brother Harold (Judy) Wiley; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Whorton and Carolyn Whorton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Miriam had been residing in Germantown, Tennessee. Her children wish to express their appreciation to the Gardens of Germantown for their loving care and support. The family will receive friends at Collier-Butler Funeral Home on Monday, August 29, 2016, beginning at 12:30 with a service to follow at 2:00 pm.
