If you were blessed enough to know our mom, then you would know that family meant everything to her. She adored her children and grandchildren. They were her life. There was never a moment that she spent without one of them by her side. She made sure to teach us all about Jesus and what the Bible says. She was always praying for others. She had a heart of gold. If you knew her then you couldn’t help but love her.
She loved to shop. If she wasn’t at home, then you could probably find her at Wal-Mart. She was always getting something for someone else and thinking of others. She also enjoyed laying out in the sun. There are so many days we spent doing that together and talking about anything and everything. We are lost without our mother and don’t know how we’re supposed to live this life without her, but knowing she’s now with Jesus and not in any pain makes our hearts happy for her even though we will miss her tremendously until we are all reunited again in Heaven and what a rejoiceful day that will be.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Guyton; mother, Vennie Guyton; brother, Robert “Alan” Guyton; and granddaughter, Makenzie Pointer Lancaster.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Pointer; son, Michael Pointer; daughter, Genny (Joseph) Duffey; son, Garrett Pointer; daughter, Morgan Pointer; grandchildren, Taylor Pointer, Alex Pointer, Paxton Duffey, and Gabriel Duffey; and brother, Stephen Guyton.
Pallbearers will be Gary Pointer, Garrett Pointer, Stephen Guyton, Taylor Pointer and Joseph Duffey.
