

Funeral services for Nancy Sue (Harp Bonney) Turner, age 84, who went to live with the Lord on February 18, 2018, will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Green Valley Baptist Church in Southside, Alabama. Rev. Harold Coe and Bro. Kenneth Bohannon will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Southside, Alabama immediately following the service. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am -12:00 pm at Green Valley Baptist Church. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Turner was born and has lived in Southside all her life and graduated from Southside High School. She worked as a medical librarian for Noble Army Hospital at Ft. McClellan and retired from there in 1972. After retiring, Mrs. Turner became an avid doll collector for many years and traded collectible dolls all over the world. She was above all, the most loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother anyone could have.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her mother and father, Viola Capes Harp and Carl Fred Harp; and first husband, William “Bill” Nicholas Bonney.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse B. Turner; daughters, Deborah Bonney (Gary) Morgan, and Patsy Bonney (George) Iliff; son, Jesse Paul (Deb) Turner; grandchildren, Brandi M. (Chris) Tramel, Nicholas (Shandi) Whisenant, Chris (Taylor) Murray, Dustin (Naomi) Murray, Deven Williams, Ashley (Jonathan) Kendrick, Jennifer Morgan, Brooke Turner (Logan) McGraw, and Alica Rosson (Scott) Hester; special daughter and grandsons, Jessica Beth Jarmon, Casey Jarmon, and Matt Jarmon; great-grandchildren, Johnathan Stephens, Zane Whisenant, Gabriel Whisenant, Hayley Murray, Hallee Shiver, Jesse Jones, Paisley Murray, Alex Morgan, Ashley Parrish, Brayden Williams, Aubree Williams, and Emersyn Kendrick; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Murray, Dustin Murray, Nicholas Whisenant, Chris Tramel, Brett Vinson, and Joey Zurskan.
Honorary pallbearers are Johnathan Stephens, Gabriel Whiesnant, Logan McGraw and Scott Hester.
The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the staff of Comfort Care Hospice and especially to Monique, Alex, Latisha, Erin, Michelle, and Chaplin Gilmore.
