Newman "Jerry" Veal

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 2:00pm at Collier-Butler Chapel.

Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate.

Mr. Veal enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his dog, Lady and most especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Veal was preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda Veal Martin; son-in-law, Chuck Martin; and granddaughter, Savannah Martin; parents, Newman and Berthell Veal; Siblings, Judy Pruitt, Janice Brown, and Johnny Veal; dog, Zoey.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Dyer Veal; children: Melissa (De’Angelo Moore) Veal, Newman (Donna Hyde) Veal, Jerry Lee (Marie) Veal; grandchildren: Cordell Moore, Wesley Veal, Lindsey Veal, Cameron Veal, and Colton Veal; great-grandchildren: Adrian Moore and Kylen Stidham; siblings, Jennifer (Larry) Ragsdale), James (Hector) Veal, Debra (Ernest) Brown, Dewayne (Lindsey) Skipper; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Sunday afternoon prior to the service at the funeral home.
