
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Pentecost Cochran. They were married 52 years and lived in Phoenix for the last 3½ years. They have two sons, Steven Lee and William Brian Cochran; two grandsons, Christopher Stancliff and Alexander Cochran; three living brothers and their wives, Max and Marolyn Cochran, Kenneth and Gail Cochran and Jerry and Theresa Brown; two living sisters, Nell Smith and Carolyn McLester; a sister-in-law, Betty Pentecost Bellamy; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Norman was a resident of Gadsden for many years and served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for many years as a Technical Illustrator for the Lockheed Georgia Corporation, Marietta, Ga. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The funeral will be at Collier-Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden Sunday, Dec. 30. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. with the service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ronnie McPhatter officiating. Burial will be in the Hokes Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Max, David, Steven and Brian Cochran, Christopher Stancliff and Curtis Shelton.
