Randall "Randy" A. Boatwright

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Randall “Randy”, A. Boatwright, 55, of Gadsden, who passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. Rev. Billy Boatwright will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Boatwright was a 1978 graduate of Etowah High School. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt He was also a Master Gardener and canner, and loved to cook for his family and friends. Randy was also known for his incredible sense of humor. Most of all, he loved his family.

Mr. Boatwright was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo “Boatie” and Roberta Boatwright; grandparents, Lon and Ruth Boatwright; and mother-in-law, Wanda “Granny” Philbrick.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Boatwright; sons, Blake Boatwright, and Dalton Boatwright; stepchildren, Jason, Christopher, and Ashley; grandsons, Dillon Boatwright, Taylor Boatwright, Grant Boatwright, and Jake Boatwright; brother, Frank (Liz) Boatwright; sisters, Cindy (Jay) Autwell, and Tina Patterson; brother and sisters-in-law, Ricky Speer, Leita Conner, and Sherry Bohannon; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Plants will be accepted or donations may be made to Lookout Mt. Volunteer Fire Department.
