Funeral services will be at 1:00p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Robert Jerry Emery, 75, of Rainbow City, who passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014. Rev. Shane Pate and Rev. Bobby Morgan will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Jerry attended The Church of God of Prophecy in Gadsden. He graduated from Gadsden High School, and Gadsden Business College. He was retired from The State of Georgia Department of Administrative Services. His hobbies included golfing and playing guitar with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Stella Emery.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy C. Emery; brother, Don (Jane) Emery; nieces, Kim (Randy) Lipham, and Kristi (Dan) Reynolds; great-nieces, Lauren Lipham, and Stella Reynolds.
Jerry has left us with loving memories of happiness, but also a space in our hearts that may never be filled.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will accept friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the funeral home.
