Shirley Alford Hill, age 76, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020. Visitation for Mrs. Hill will be Monday, August 24, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Collier Butler Funeral Home with funeral services following at 11:00 AM at Collier Butler Chapel. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Mrs. Hill is survived by son Jason Alford; stepdaughters Jennifer Russell and Vicki Collomb; grandchildren Jessica Cobb, Jordan Alford, Jamie Reid, Jody Sauls, Alex Russell, Jessica Raley, and Kristin Raley; many great grandchildren; and many more loving other family members.
She is preceded in death by her sons Jeffrey Alford, Jr. and Joey Alford, and husbands Jeffrey Alford, Sr. and James Hill.
Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved life and serving her Lord and community. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where she was an avid and dedicated worker with all ages, especially the children. She was a member of the Circle at Central Methodist Church, caretaker of Shepherds Heart Cemetery for many years, past president of the Red Hat Society, past president of the Women's Club, current president of Goodyear Women's Club, current president of Friends of the Library, a member of the Rose Society, and a member of the Silly Sisters Bible Study. She also served as a volunteer for Decision America with Franklin Graham.
Serving as pallbearers are Mike Mitchell, Keith Mitchell, Darryl Waters, Caleb Waters, Ramey Waters, Dale Waters and Tommy Massaro .
