Stan graduated from Gadsden High School. On August 15, 1982, Stan and Lisa married and then moved to West Monroe, Louisiana. There they both attended the White’s Ferry Road School of Biblical Studies. Upon completing studies, they moved on to a number of places where Stan served as a full-time minister in the Churches of Christ. He had a passion for ministry from about the age of 8 years old. After his career, he often reminisced of his time spent in the ministry, watching and listening to acapella singing groups from all over. He was also very passionate about traveling and the study of maps. He could tell you how to get anywhere, using the fastest, or even the most scenic route, off the top of his head.
Stan is preceded in death by: his wife Lisa Satterfield Cook.
He is survived by his son Jared Cook and wife Danielle; his son Jeremy Cook and grandson Camden.
