Stephanie Sue Livingston

Stephanie Lawder Livingston, beloved wife and mother, passed away unexpectedly at her home, Wednesday evening, March 3, 2010. The service will be held Saturday, March 6th at Collier Butler Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Visitation is preceding the funeral services from noon until 2:00 pm on the premises. The Reverend Eric Reeves will be officiating.

Stephanie worked at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department for over thirty years before retiring in 2008. Last year she returned to work with her colleagues on a part-time basis. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crossword puzzles, caring for any wayward animal in her path, Auburn football and her family. She was a member of several professional and medical organizations.

Stephanie is survived by her husband of almost 46 years, Billy Livingston, daughter, Kim Livingston Stewart, son-in-law Jimmy Stewart, beloved dog, Stormie and grand dog, Shorty. Her sister, Cindy Lawder Adams, and brothers Keith “George” Lawder, Layne “Henry” Lawder and Mitchell Lawder. She is also survived by god daughter, Lexi Watkins and several nieces and nephews: Carmen Lawder Johnson, Connie Lawder Patterson, Monica Adams, Karen Abernathy, Nathan Lawder, Lane Lawder, Cyle Lawder, Stephanie Lawder and Rachel Lawder. Special friends Marie Shaw, Gail and Ray, Richard and Johelen Short Roden, Carol Davis, Becky Watkins, Francis Phillips, and many more. She was preceded in death by mother, Doris Lipscomb Lawder, brother, John “Shawnee” Lawder, and grandmother, Willie Sue “Granny” Lipscomb. She will be missed by all friends and family.

Pall Bearers include Dale Robertson, Rickey Shaw, Jimmy Stewart, Lance Watkins, Roger “Jeep” Watkins, and Nathan Lawder.
