Steve McDaniel

Steve McDaniel, 65, Gadsden, went home to his Heavenly Father Monday, October 1, 2012. Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Union Hill United Methodist Cemetery in Gadsden. The Rev. John Riddle will officiate. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct the service.

Steve was a member of Union Hill United Methodist Church, served his Country during the Vietnam era, and especially enjoyed restoring classic cars and trucks and taking trips to classic car shows.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phronsie ; parents, Marvin and Lucille; and brother, Larry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Myra; daughter, Stephanie Lane; grandchildren, Kyndall, Austin and Ashlyn Lane; sister-in-law, Billie(Paul) Self; nieces, Cynthia (Henry) Fountain and Paula (Brian) Lyles; Mother-in-law, Marnice Gregg; chosen daughter and loving caregiver, Joy (Cres) Underwood and James and Nancy Nash. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles and many friends.

A special thank you to Comfort Care Hospice, Over The Hill Car Club, and the many friends and family for their selfless dedication and loving care.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Community Resource Fund of The Salvation Army, Gadsden, AL.

There will be no visitation but all family and friends are invited to meet at the graveside for the service.
