Terry A. "Snerd" Smith

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Terry A. “Snerd” Smith, age 65 of Gadsden, who went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Rev. Larry Perkins will officiate. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, T.Z. Smith and Lydia Smith McLain; and siblings, Daffney Smith, Orbie Smith, Gerome Smith, Ed Smith, Margie Barron, and Phyllis Seekatz.

He is survived by his children, Jason Smith, Jeremy (Tasha) Smith, and Amy Crain; grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Halie Smith, and Sarah Crain; siblings, Vera Porche, Lamar (Carolyn) Smith, Wayne (Faye) Smith, and Larry (Debbie) Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Smith, Larry Smith, Donald Barron, David Barron, Timmy Smith and Greg Smith.

Honorary pallbearer will be Lamar Smith.

A very special thank you to Belinda Smith for her heartfelt care she gave; thanks to Riverview Medical Regional Medical Center and Amedisys Hospice.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
