Theron Lee Bowen

Mr. Theron “Lee” Bowen, age 72, of Gadsden, AL went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Collier-Butler Chapel. Brother Andy Hyde and Bishop Lamar Garner will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lee was of the Church of God faith. He had a deep love for Native American culture and enjoyed going to pow-wows with his wife. He enjoyed to hunt, fish, and loved chickens. He will be deeply missed by his family, who meant the world to him.

Lee was preceded in death by his father, Abb JT Bowen; mother, Lucy Bowen; son, Ronnie Bowen; daughter, Christy Morrison; grandson, Bill Yates; brothers, TC Bowen, JR Bowne, and Tom Bowen; and sister, Gene Goins.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Bowen; children, Shanay (Daniel) Chambers; and Kyle Bowen; grandchildren, Amber (Jason) Thornberry, Amanda Bowen, Adam Bowen, Aaron Bowen, Ansley Bowen, Mickey Lee (Sherry) Guthrie, Austin Chambers, Duck (Jessica) Chambers, Brittany (David) Holmes, Drew (Allison) Yates, and Emily Kelly; 19 great grandchildren; brother, Frankie (Leedell) Bowen, and sister, Bessie (Bob) Branyon.

Pallbearers will be Ed Daugherty, Austin Chambers, Travis Bowen, Jason Thornberry, David Holmes, and Tim leach.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mickey Lee Guthrie, Darryl Venable, Eli Thornberry, and Daniel Chambers.

The family will accept friends from 12:00PM until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
