

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel for Mr.Ed Boozer, 81, Gadsden, who passed away, Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Rev. Bob Ivey will officiate. Private interment will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mr. Boozer was a member and deacon of East Gadsden Baptist Church, where he served in many different ministries. Ed served in the US Army and was a Mason. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, William David Boozer and Eler Lankford Boozer; and brother, James Boozer.
Mr. Boozer is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dot Spann Boozer; daughter, Vickie (Mike) Ivey; son, Todd (Pam) Boozer; grandchildren, Traci Ivey Spratt, Blake (LeighAnne) Ivey, Tyler and Kyle Boozer; great-grandchildren, Olivia Boom, Genevieve Spratt, and soon-to-arrive Brodie Micheal Ivey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons of East Gadsden Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Grizzard and Wayne Culvert.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
