Willie Edward Barnett

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April, 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Collier-Butler Chapel for Willie Edward Barnett, Gadsden. Rev. Les Overstreet and Rev. Don Pritchett will officiate, burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Our precious loved one, Willie Barnett passed from this life on Monday, April 16, 2012. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. The Lord is waiting for him after long suffering. Gadsden At his bedside was his wife of 54 years, Jackie, his children, his special friend Les Overstreet and his sister-in-law Mildred Nill.

He worked in the printing industry for a number of years and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Gadsden. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Mae (Fitts) Barnett, father, Albert Barnett, sister, Patsy Higdon, brothers, Jerry Barnett and Carlton Barnett.

He survived by his wife Jacqulin Ratledge Barnett, sons, Richard Anthony (Sharon) Barnett, David Edward (Jo Ann) Barnett and Jeffery Scott (Michelle) Barnett, daughter, Sonya “Lisa” (Paul) Barnett Browning, Grandchildren, Brian, Robin and Trey Barnett, April Payne, Rachael and Kimberly Wallis, Bailey, Alex and Nicholas Barnett, great-grandchild James Parker Jackson and 10 step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brian, Robin and Trey Barnett, DJ Jones, Jonathan Browning and Jason Hood.
