

She was born on February 28, 1934 in Sewickley, PA to Ethel (Bodine) Ferguson and Don Ferguson.
Carol graduated from Canton McKinley High School and then went to work for Ohio Bell Company as a service consultant. She retired from Ohio Bell. She loved animals and would rescue and care for dogs throughout her life. The love of her life was Dick Skinner. Together, they shared their love of travel and were always the most gracious hosts to family and friends. Carol enjoyed playing cards, golf, and regular dinner outings with the “Golden Girls.” Carol was a friendly, soft spoken, sweet, kind and fun loving individual.
She is preceded in death by beloved husband Dick Skinner; sister Joan Caster; and mother Ethel Hurst.
She is survived by half-brother Drew Ferguson (Diane); half-sister Dianne Currans (Bill); stepchildren Jeff Skinner (Diane) and Jennifer King (Thad); step-grandchildren Cameron King, Heather Queen (John), and John King; as well as nieces Carol Armbruster (Marty), Jenny Caster (Joe), Mary Chadbourne (Jeff), and Brenda Caster (Steffen); nephew Mike Caster (Susie); 9 great nieces and nephews; and 6 great-great nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by good friend Susie Guglielmi and dog, Lacey.
Carol’s funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30 in the chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 High Street, Lewis Center, OH 43035 beginning at 11am.
