
Charles Rene Cossette, affectionately known as "Chip," was born on September 10, 1955, and passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, at the age of 69. Chip was a beloved husband and father, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met.
A graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, Chip went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Youngstown State University, which laid the foundation for his successful career as a Senior Account Representative. He worked with renowned companies such as Xerox Corporation, Dun and Bradstreet Software, MSA, i2 Technologies, and Numara Software. His dedication and expertise in his field earned him numerous awards, including the prestigious Presidents Council Award and The America's Winners win, along with many "largest win" awards. His achievements were celebrated with President award trips to Tucson, Scottsdale, and Hawaii numerous times, reflecting the high regard in which he was held by his peers.
Chip was a savvy stock researcher, known for his keen insights and strategic approach to the market. An avid golfer, he spent many joyful hours on the golf course, enjoying the camaraderie and challenge of the game. A very proud fan of OSU football, Chip was thrilled when they won the national championship. His enthusiasm for the team was infectious, and he loved sharing the excitement of the games with family and friends. Chip was especially proud of his daughter, Kaley, who graduated with honors from OSU, joining the ranks of OSU alumni.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darla, and his beautiful daughter, Kaley. Chip is also survived by his brothers Marc (Margie) Cossette of Boardman, and Alan Cossette of Cleveland; his sisters Cindy (John) DeWitt of New Middletown, Michelle Cossette of Poland, and Rene Cossette (Kathie Michael) of Tampa, FL. He leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews: Gina (Justin), Megan (Zach), Marie, Jonathan, Luc, Jason (Joanna), Brady (Cynthia), Jamie (Nick), Michael (Jess), and Danielle. He is also survived by his great niece, Harper, and great nephews, Jake and Grady, all of whom will cherish the memories they shared with him.
A private memorial service and dinner will be held for immediate family to honor Chip's life.
Chip Cossette will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
