Cody's sudden passing leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (“Liza”) Moats Pennington; his devoted mother, Robin (Jeff) Chandler; his father, Mark Pennington; and his cherished sisters, Samantha and Morgan. Cody also leaves behind his beloved grandfather, Samuel (“Dave”) Lones; his aunt and uncle, Amy and Mike Stebelton; his cousin, Dustin (Chelsea) Stebelton; precious cats Charlie, Chloe, and Sammie; and many more dear family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Cody was born in Stuttgart, Germany, on July 5, 1994, where his father was serving in the U.S. Army; he grew up in Westerville, Ohio. He is a graduate of Westerville Central High School and worked in construction and then in retail management.
