

Frances Louise Hungerford, 88, of Pataskala, Ohio, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2025. She was born on December 11, 1936, in Jersey Township, Ohio, to the late Roe B. and Ruth F. (Coakley) Fravel.
Frances is survived by her children, Joe (Paula) Schenz and Janet (John) Hartley; her bonus daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Ray; and her siblings, Marjorie (Tom) Cannon, Carolyn (John) Wittmann, and Sarah (Neal) Wolfe. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jena (Mike) Galloway, Joey (Gretchen) Schenz, Kyle (Christa) Schenz, Jerika (Christian) Ransomer, and Lexi Baldwin; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John J. Schenz Jr. and Curtis D. Hungerford; her parents, Roe and Ruth Fravel; her sister, Judy (Larry) Kincade; and her granddaughter, Robin Schenz.
Frances graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1955. She worked for the State of Ohio, typing payroll checks in the 1950s. In the 1970s, she worked as the receptionist for Dr. Frederik Barends. Beginning in the 1990s, Frances worked for Grant Bexley Family Practice as the receptionist for Dr. Doyle and Dr. Mackessy, where she made lasting connections and impacted many lives.
On November 17, 2001, she married Curtis D. Hungerford, and together they enjoyed many adventures, including touring all 30 Major League Baseball parks. Frances attended First Presbyterian Church of Pataskala. After the passing of her husband, Curtis, she became a resident at The Inn at Summit Trails, where she formed many great friendships with the staff and other residents.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church, 405 S. Main St., Pataskala, Ohio. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with a graveside service at Jersey Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be provided at the church following the services.
