Glen Allen Thompson, 65, passed away peacefully at his home on May 21st, 2023. He was born July 7th, 1957 in Columbus, OH as the third of seven children. He will always be remembered for his loves of fishing, NASCAR, the Browns and Buckeyes. He was a very creative and artistic master carpenter. Always the life of the party, Glen enjoyed cruising around on his golf cart and never knew a stranger. With Glen’s passing, the world will seem less fun and more quiet.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald, mother, Leonore and brother, Ernest. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Thompson, son, Billy (Katy) Thompson, daughter, Abbey (Kevin) Wolf, grandson, Logan Wolf, brother, Walter Thompson, sisters, Anita English, Ellen Whelan, Dorothy (Jeff Haas) Dennis, Linda (Dave) Baker, brother-in-law Warren Hogue and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life Thursday, May 25th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm with a brief tribute at 7:00pm. The celebration will be held at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home at 1051 East Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mount Carmel Hospital System’s Hospice Fund which provided excellent care to Glen and his family in his final months.
