Helga Schroeck

Helga Maria Schroeck born, April 4th, 1939 in Mannheim, Germany, passed away on September 21, 2024 at the Kobacker House. She was born to the late Jakob and Rosina Kesselring. In addition to her parents, Helga is preceded in passing by, her loving husband Fritz Schroeck.

Helga was deeply involved with her condo community and was loved by many. She had a great sense of humor and always knew how to bring people together to have a good time. She was also on the social committee and loved planning many wonderful events for the residents. Helga loved to be surrounded by her family and friends cooking large authentic German meals. She especially loved when all her grandchildren and great grandchildren would visit and spend time with her.

Helga is survived by her loving children: Ruth (Mike) Janszen, Michele Stricker, Nicole Schroeck & Christina (Shaun) Boyd; grandchildren: Joshua (Amanda) Janzsen, Taylor (Shannon)Janszen, Chad Janszen, Jason Stricker, Daniel Stricker, Katlyn Stricker, Michael Schroeck, Jacob Cicak, Kendall Boyd &, Alex Boyd; great grandchildren: Jack, Lola, Luke, Adaline, Jasper & Calum; sister in laws: Elly Byzcek, Helga Gilkes & Christa Kesselring, many nieces and nephews near and far, and her beloved fur baby Daisy Mae.

Friends may gather on Thursday, September 26th, 10am - 12pm at Schoedinger Northeast (1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, Ohio). Funeral Service will immediately follow, beginning at 12pm. A celebration of life reception will take place at the Polo Club Party House from 2pm-5pm (1350 Polo Club Dr., Gahanna, Ohio)
