Jason Robert Krumm, recently of New Albany, Ohio, died on July 28th following an epic battle with cancer and its aftermath.. He was 53. Born and raised in Bexley, Ohio, he graduated from the Columbus Academy and was twice a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. At Northwestern Jason formed deep and lifelong friendships that have spanned countries, continents, and decades. It was also there that Jason studied from time to time, concluding his scholarship with a graduate degree from the Medill School in Integrated Marketing Communication. Ever the optimist and with degrees in hand, Jason headed to New York City where he quickly found work, initially in brand strategy for the likes of Bright Sun Consulting, Frankfurt Balkind, and March First. Later Jason transitioned to client experience for Addison, Smith Barney Citigroup, and finally Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as vice president, product manager, Global Wealth Management operations. Jason loved New York, loved his friends, and loved whatever adventure presented itself. He skied, scuba dived, rode in the Five Boros Bike Tour, biked in Alaska, and hiked across much of the American West. Jason was occasionally - just occasionally - given to bouts of mischief, but always of the gentle variety and always with a wry smile. A lover of creatures great and small and a fiercely devoted friend, he was - by all accounts that matter - a truly decent human being. Never a big fan of summer heat, Jason’s interment at Green Lawn Cemetery is planned for a later date, sometime when the air grows crisp and the leaves begin to change. He is survived by his parents, Midge and Tally Krumm, and his brother Eric who was such an important part of Jason’s caregiver team over the last four years.
