Jean Marie Santos

Jean Marie Santos, 77, a long time resident of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025 in Lake City, Colorado. She was born December 14, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio to Ruth Marie (Sybrant) and John Dorsch Albright. Jean graduated in 1965 from South High School in Youngstown. After finishing nursing school, she worked at Youngstown’s South Side Hospital, where she met her future husband, Dr. Augusto A. Santos. In 1968 they were married in Niagara Falls, NY. They lived in Youngstown, Memphis, and Chattanooga before settling in Gahanna, Ohio. Jean lived in Gahanna until 2023, when she moved in with her son’s family in Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Augusto Abad Santos. She is survived by her children Jennifer (Rick Towle) Rieser, Jason (Shannon) Santos, and Joy (Ben) Hess; her grandchildren James Rieser, Isabella Rieser, Sabina (Jayden Hanks) Rieser, Judah Santos, Silas Santos, Gloria Hess, Lewis Hess, and Solomon Hess. She is also survived by her siblings: Linda (Jeff) Baxter, Nancy Harwood, Robert (Julie) Albright, and Richard (Vicki) Albright.

Family and friends will be received at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio on Thursday, November 13th from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14th at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Mifflin Cemetery.
