Letha Jane Vogelpohl

Letha Jane (Williams) Vogelpohl, 98 passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2023. Letha was born in Toledo Ohio on Nov. 17, 1924 the daughter of William and Edith Williams and lived in Genoa Ohio. She married Roland L. Vogelpohl in 1948, moving to Gahanna Ohio in 1959 and finally living in Westerville since 1994. Her husband Roland passed away in 1982. She is survived by her three children, Thomas Vogelpohl, Janet Vogelpohl, and James (Debra) Vogelpohl, grandchildren Stephen, Lauren (Vogelpohl) Dues, and Marissa (Drew) Pike, great-grandchildren Camden and Gwyneth. She absolutely loved being part of a large family who gave her 25 nieces and nephews.

Letha Jane was active through the years in PTA, Singing Mom’s vocal group and church activities. She especially loved playing the piano and other instruments. Also sewing, knitting, crocheting and learning new activities such as painting and other craft projects. She was always ready to help, whether it was to trim and perm a friend’s hair, help them with music, repair garments, and always ready to lend a loving ear. Her heart was always larger than she was.

A visitation for Letha will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Following the visitation will be a Graveside service at 2:00 PM at Mifflin Cemetery, 218 Agler Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43230.
