Lorette Miller, our Baker of birthday cakes, world’s best baby-whisperer, queen of crafting and spontaneous Dollar Store adventures with her grandchildren, and the steady North Star of our family, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thanksgiving night.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and proud cancer survivor, she lived a life defined by love, resilience, and the joy she brought to others.
Lorette spent her final day exactly as she would have wished—at home with her husband of 61 years, surrounded by the family she cherished, listening to the laughter and play of her great-grandchildren nearby. Her presence was a source of comfort, her hands were always busy making something beautiful, and her heart was forever focused on caring for those she loved.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 5th, from 2–4 PM, with a service immediately following at 4 PM, at Schoedinger Margarum Funeral Home, 1015 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Central Ohio in Lorette's honor
Her legacy of care, warmth, and service to others will continue to guide us, living on in every life she touched.
